The LoCK Framework
LoCK is a Christ-centered framework for bringing anything we encounter beneath the authority of Jesus Christ and His Word so that we may see clearly, discern faithfully, and respond accordingly.

LoCK begins with Jesus Christ, crucified, raised, and reigning. He is not one part of the framework among others. His authority governs the whole. The empty tomb declares that Jesus is Lord, and faithful discernment begins by submitting ourselves and what we encounter to Him.

LoCK is a fixed, Christ-centered framework. Beneath Jesus Christ, the Authority Tier is God’s Word: Jesus’ words, the New Testament, and the Old Testament. These govern discernment. The Reflection Tier considers the created world, cultural memory, and worldviews. These may help us see more clearly, but they remain subordinate to Biblical Authority and must be interpreted beneath it.

We encounter ideas before we always see them clearly. The horizontal movement represents bringing our perception of an idea beneath the fixed LoCK framework. At the intersection, discernment seeks clarity under Christ’s authority. From there, we move toward responding faithfully. LoCK helps us see more clearly, but faithful response requires us to act on what has been revealed.
